Arundhati Baba

Arundhati Baba’s commitment to promoting Hindi language and culture through the Hindi Pathshala is commendable. As the coordinator, she has been instrumental in managing the activities of the Pathshala, an initiative by the Hindi Vikas Mandal of North Carolina. Since 2010, her active involvement has sustained the program and expanded its reach, as evidenced by the growing number of students. This growth is a testament to Arundhati’s dedication and hard work.

In addition to her role at the Hindi Pathshala, she is a valued member of the HVM Board of Directors. She is also the current chairperson of the Religious Committee of the HSNC temple, plays a significant role in overseeing the temple’s daily operations and activities.

Her involvement extends beyond these roles. She is also active in various organizations, demonstrating a passion for community service and volunteerism. Her love for helping and volunteering is a shining example of selfless service that positively impacts the lives of many.

Priyanka Shrivastava

Priyanka Srivastava is a dedicated educator with over two decades of teaching experience. With a strong foundation in Math, Science, and Hindi, she has contributed to students’ academic growth across various age groups. Her journey began at Kendriya Vidyalaya Rajkot, where she taught high school and middle school students from 2000 to 2003. 

She then honed her skills in teaching Science and Math at Lal Bahadur Shastri School Rajkot until 2005. After a decade, Priyanka joined Aloha Mind Math in Morrisville, NC, where she worked for five years, further solidifying her expertise in the field. She volunteers as a Hindi teacher at Hindi Vikas Mandal, demonstrating her commitment to education and community service. Her academic background is equally impressive, with a Master of Science in Microbiology from Saurashtra University and a Diploma in Information Technology and Management from IGNOU, both located in Rajkot, Gujarat. Her educational qualifications and extensive teaching experience make her a valuable asset to any academic institution.

Nandini Shrivastava

Dr.Nandini Shrivastava earned her master’s and Ph.D. in Psychology from Kanpur University, India. She held a faculty position at the Post Graduate College of Kanpur University, India. She taught graduate and post-graduate classes; currently, she is an adjunct faculty at Missouri State University, Missouri, USA, where she teaches the Hindi language to students online. 

 

Since 2019, she has taught the Hindi language at Hindi Pathshala, which is conducted by Hindi Vikas Mandal, NC. She finds that teaching Hindi to children here in the USA is very useful for connecting them to their roots.

Ruchika Giri

Ruchika Giri’s diverse professional background showcases a strong commitment to education and community service. With a solid foundation in Science-Zoology from CCS University Meerut, Ruchika has demonstrated versatility by transitioning from a customer service role at Bank of America to leading Aarambh, a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing educational opportunities within Wake County public schools. 

 

Her dedication to education is further exemplified by her certification in the Wake County Substitute Teacher Training Program and her ongoing contribution as a Hindi Language Teacher with the Hindi Vikas Mandal in North Carolina. This blend of experience in both the corporate and educational sectors, coupled with a steadfast dedication to non-profit work, positions Ruchika is a valuable asset to any educational or community-focused initiative.

Dr. Anuradha Singh

Dr. Singh earned her MA and Ph.D. in Sanskrit Language from Delhi University and Kanpur University, India, respectively. She has always been interested in language and linguistics, and teaching has been her passion. Dr. Singh held a faculty position at a Post Graduate College of Kanpur University, India, where she taught Sanskrit to graduate and postgraduate-level students. Since 2012, 

Dr. Singh has been teaching Hindi at Hindi Pathshala/School conducted by Hindi Vikas Mandal of North Carolina. Her academic journey and professional dedication have been commendable as she pursued her passion for imparting knowledge to students at various levels. Her transition from teaching Sanskrit at the university postgraduate level to teaching Hindi to mostly non-speakers from elementary to advanced levels here at Hindi Pathshala in North Carolina reflects a versatile and adaptive approach to language education. Particularly, her contributions to cultural and linguistic education facilitate the preservation and appreciation of Indian heritage, fostering cross-cultural communication and a means of better understanding in a global context.

Soni Dixit

Soni Dixit is a Senior Teacher based in Apex, NC, with nearly a decade of international experience. She holds a B.Tech in Telecommunication and gained significant technical expertise during her industrial training at ISRO, where she specialized in LAN-WAN integration over VSAT networks. Soni leverages this strong technical foundation to deliver high-quality Science, Math, Chemistry and Hindi curricula at prestigious institutions such as Vikas International School and Maz International School.

Beyond the classroom, Soni is a distinguished community leader who served as the Social and Cultural Head in Malaysia, where she led large-scale programs and fostered intercultural relationships. Her dedication to cultural advocacy is reflected in her nearly two years of volunteering with Hindi Vikas Mandal and her active membership in the International Hindi Association Mauritius. Combining her administrative leadership as a former Head of the Women’s Grievances Cell with her passion for Hindi language promotion, she remains a goal-oriented motivator and educator.

Mamta Tiwari

Mamta Tiwari earned her MSc in Microbiology and has devoted over 13 years to teaching Hindi. Alongside her professional career in healthcare, she has consistently nurtured her passion for language education, focusing on instilling in children both fluency and cultural appreciation. Her journey reflects a unique blend of science and the humanities: while trained in microbiology, her dedication to Hindi teaching highlights her versatile and adaptive approach to education. Over the years, Mamta has guided young learners from foundational to advanced levels, ensuring that they not only acquire linguistic skills but also connect deeply with the traditions and heritage embedded in the Hindi language. Her dual commitment to healthcare and to language instruction underscores her belief in holistic growth and community service. By fostering cultural awareness and linguistic confidence among children, Mamta contributes to the preservation of Indian heritage while promoting cross-cultural understanding in today’s global environment.

Charu Agarwal

Charu Agarwal is a dedicated and passionate language educator with a PhD in English Language and Literature from Banasthali University, Rajasthan, India. She is a Fulbright Scholar and taught Hindi to international undergraduate students at Yale University in 2012, an experience that played a key role in shaping her ability to teach Hindi effectively to English-speaking learners.

While at Yale, Charu participated in several professional development programs, including the NCOLCTL (National Council of Organizations of Less Commonly Taught Languages) workshops and the Pedagogy Workshop at the Center for Language Study (CLS) at Yale University, along with other training sessions focused on best practices in language teaching. These experiences strengthened her instructional skills and deepened her understanding of how students learn new languages.

Being bilingual herself, Charu brings both linguistic and cultural insight into her classroom and uses thoughtful, student-centered strategies to make learning engaging and meaningful. She has extensive experience teaching graduate and postgraduate students in India and has continued her commitment to education in the U.S. by completing the Wake County Substitute Teacher Training Program in North Carolina.

Charu strongly believes that language is the heart of culture and that learning new languages helps students connect more deeply with the world while building confidence, empathy, and strong relationships across cultures.

Mrs. Manisha Thakar

Mrs. Manisha Thakar is a highly experienced and dedicated educator with over 25 years of teaching experience. She began her teaching career in 1998, building a strong academic foundation through her passion for learning and teaching.
She holds a Master’s degree in Mathematics from IIT Delhi and an M.Phil from Delhi University, after which she taught Mathematics at Delhi University, guiding students at the collegiate level.
After relocating to the United States, Mrs. Thakar earned her teaching license from NC State University and went on to teach in the Wake County School System, where she worked with students across all grade levels—from elementary through high school. Her experience also includes working closely with special needs children, reflecting her inclusive and student-centered approach to education.
In addition to her professional teaching career, Mrs. Thakar is deeply committed to preserving cultural heritage. She volunteers as a Hindi teacher at Hindi Vikas Mandal, helping children stay connected to their language, culture, and roots.
With her rich academic background, international teaching experience, and heartfelt dedication to Hindi education, Mrs. Thakar brings excellence, compassion, and authenticity to Hindi Paathshala.
