Hindi Vikasmandal

Pathshala

Hindi Pathshala, administered by the Hindi Vikas Mandal, promotes the Hindi language and Indian culture. The program opens its doors to anyone five years or older, with a new session commencing in August 2024.

The classes are conducted at the HSNC learning center, rooms #3, 4, 5, and 6, every Saturday from 10:30 am to 12:00 noon. The curriculum is divided into four levels: Novice 1, Novice 2, Intermediate, and Advanced, delivered by a team of five qualified teachers, a librarian, and a coordinator. The teaching methods include audio and video learning, focusing on reading, writing, and speaking Hindi. Students learn the language through stories, poems, and songs and gain an understanding of Indian culture through festivals, food, dance, and music. They also receive brief lessons on Indian History, Ramayana, and Mahabharata and participate in fieldwork to observe and learn practical uses of Hindi.

Exams are conducted twice a year to assess students’ progress. For more details, contact the Hindi Pathshala coordinator, Arundhati Baba, at 919-943 8534 or email at ambaba0726@yahoo.com.
